Product Description

    Although the density of the honeycomb core material is low, the honeycomb sandwich structure parts are prone to failures caused by the mismatch between the honeycomb compressive capacity and the pressure applied by the molding. Especially at the edge of the honeycomb, the lateral component force parallel to the upper and lower panels can easily lead to edge depression, slippage, and wrinkling of the honeycomb.


    The PMI foam has high specific strength and specific modulus, and is isotropic. Even at the edge of the foam, it can well support the layup at all angles and provide enough back pressure to make the cured skin layer dense and smooth. The blade weight can be greatly reduced, simplifying the design and process. In addition, due to the high working temperature of PMI foam (up to 200°C) and low compression creep at high temperature, it can adapt to the medium and high temperature resin curing process, thereby shortening the production cycle, improving product performance, and improving the shock absorption effect.

   CP52 and CP72 in medium temperature PMI foam are suitable for helicopter blade/tail rotor core material;
