Painting the carbon fiber board is not only for the sake of appearance, but also to improve the anti-corrosion ability. The comprehensive performance of carbon fiber panels comes from the carbon fiber filaments themselves and the stable structure formed by the carbon fiber filaments and resin materials. Painting only adds a protective layer to the surface.
Not only will this protective layer not affect the performance of the carbon fiber board, but the specially made protective layer may also fill in some of the defects of the carbon fiber board, such as its inability to withstand high temperatures. There are already some examples at home and abroad where coatings made of special materials are sprayed on the surface of carbon fiber products to make them resistant to high temperatures and even fireproof. There is a precedent for such an operation on the torch of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
