The carbon fiber autoclave molding process is a container that uses high temperature and high pressure technology to heat carbon fiber prepreg on the surface of the tool to a certain temperature, and then applies a certain pressure to cure it. This process has the advantages of short molding cycle, high strength and light weight, so it is widely used in aerospace, automobile manufacturing, sports equipment and other fields.
Carbon fiber autoclave forming process:
1 material preparation
First, carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin prepreg are prepared. The type and specification of carbon fiber cloth need to be selected according to the design requirements of the tank body. Epoxy resin prepregs need to be stored at a specific temperature and formulated in strict accordance with the instructions.
2. Mold manufacturing
Make corresponding molds according to the shape and size of the can body. The surface of the mold should be flat, smooth, and coated with a layer of release agent to facilitate removal of the molded part.
3. Molding
The carbon fiber cloth is pre-laid on the surface of the mold and coated with a layer of epoxy resin prepreg. Then put the mold into the preheated autoclave, apply a certain pressure and temperature, and make the carbon fiber prepreg solidify into a hard carbon fiber composite material.
4. Processing
Take out the formed parts, and carry out further processing and trimming by cutting, grinding, drilling, etc., so as to meet the design requirements.
The carbon fiber autoclave molding process is adopted, and the quality of carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin prepreg must be strictly controlled during the production process to avoid problems. At the same time, minimize the loss during the molding process to save material costs. When pressurizing the autoclave, it is necessary to ensure that the temperature inside the mold is uniform to avoid hot spots that cause uneven organization. In addition, the subsequent processing of molded parts also needs to be carried out carefully to ensure that the quality requirements are met.
